The Central Dinning Hall

The Central Dining Hall (CDH) is the culinary paradise for food lovers at Vandya International School. It is the main place where students and staff enjoy a variety of delicious and nutritious meals on campus. The CDH offers a range of cuisines, from Indian to continental, to cater to the diverse tastes and preferences of our school community. Whether you are looking for a mouth-watering breakfast, a hearty lunch, a quick snack, or a delectable dinner, you will find something to satisfy your appetite at the CDH.

The CDH is designed to provide a comfortable and inviting environment for dining and socializing. The spacious hall has natural light and ventilation creating a lively atmosphere. The furniture is flexible and ergonomic, allowing you to choose from different seating options and configurations. The CDH also has a demonstration cooking area where you can watch our chefs prepare fresh and healthy dishes in front of you. The hall is also equipped with a music system to entertain you with songs.

The Catering Department of our school is comprised of a well-equipped and experienced manager, cooks, assistant cooks, service stewards, cook helpers, and utility staff. It also includes state-of-the-art modern machines used for cooking which minimise cross contamination of food. The department follows certain S.O.P. laid as per the food safety management system to cater seven meals a day. The Catering Department operates 24×7 to fulfill the catering requirements of the school community.

The CDH menu is well planned and is prepared by the supervision of a nutritionist, keeping in mind the requirements of the children, their palate, time of the day, and the month, to provide different and interesting meals to the children in our care.

The Day Starts With

 

  1. Early morning : Biscuits & Tea / Milk /Coffee/Hot Chocolate
  2. Breakfast: Cereal / Milk / Toast/Butter / Jam / one Egg items/ Poori / Paratha (stuffed) / Pao Bhaji / Uttapam / Idli / Butter Roti with Bajji / Puri etc.
  3. Fruit Break :Banana/Apple/Guava/Seasonal Fruits/Juice etc
  4. Lunch: Salad / Dal / Rice / Paratha / Pasta/ Noodles/Pickle /Verity of  Vegetable  /Papad / Raita & Special Lunch On Sundays & Holidays. (All Types of Cuisine Served Including Chinese / Continental/Indian/South Indian)
  5. Evening Snacks: Juice (summer) / Pakora / Corn Chaat  / Cutlet / Masala Bhel/ Sandwiches / Bread Roll / Nimbu Pani / Orange Mint Squash / Mango Lime punch / Hot & Sour Soup(Winters) / Tomato Sorba / Veg Clear Soup etc.
  6. Dinner: Salad / Papad / Pickle / Rice/ Paratha /Roti/ Dal / Non Veg / Veg / Dessert (All Types Of Cuisine Served On A Rotation Basis Indian / Chinese / Continental).
  7. Supper: Milk / Horlicks / Bournvita / Hot Chocolate etc.
